Meet Anne Cain
I was born in Rochester, New York and lived there until I went to Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania to get my bachelors degree. I met my husband, Paul, at Susquehanna, but we didn't marry until after I got my M.A.T. (Master in Teaching) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. From then on, each move that we made was related to my husband's education and job. We lived in Pasadena, California, and in Charleston, West Virginia; then we were transferred to the Research Triangle with Union Carbide.
Like most transferees, we checked out Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham when we came. We liked the small-town feel of Apex and Cary best, and chose to live here. That was in 1981, and although we have seen a lot of growth, we still love it here.
My family consists of myself, my husband, Paul, my daughter, Alex, my son, Edward, two cats, a dog and my horse. Paul works at the Research Triangle; my office is in Cary. Alex and Edward are in public schools (middle and high school), and I volunteer in their schools. Alex plays soccer, both on her school team and on a Challenge Team. Edward loves computer games and takes weekly horseback lessons.

My Kids!
When I am not at work or with my family, my passion is riding. My horse, Skittles, and I are a match in many ways; we both like to go fast and jump, we are both smart, stubborn, athletic, honest and thoughtful. Neither of us minds hard work. We both like kids. Probably our biggest difference is our appetites. Don't mess with Skittles at breakfast time! When I get busy, I forget to eat.

Anne and Skittles!
I started selling homes in 1982 in the Raleigh, North Carolina area and have worked here throughout my career. About the time I had my first baby, I also got my first sales assistant. I needed someone to help me help clients; I couldn't be in two places at once. Giving great service is important, whether clients are buying or selling a home. I love the challenge of listening and figuring out what will be perfect house for someone. I also love using my creativity to market homes. Each home is unique; each client is unique. That is why I love my job.
I know that I have been blessed with many wonderful things in my life; a wonderful family with whom to grow up, a good education, two great kids and a caring husband, a healthy body and mind, a career I love, and a good set of values. I hope I can pass some of this on to the folks I work with in my business.
